Jerome Boateng is reportedly favouring a move to Manchester United before the end of the transfer window on Thursday.

Boateng struggled for minutes last season after a string of injuries kept him on the sidelines at Bayern Munich.

United have been linked with a move for the German centre-back this week, while Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld are also in contention to sign for the Red Devils.

According to Sky Sports News, United manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign the player and Boateng is keen on a move to the 13-time Premier League winners.

Boateng has made 156 appearances for Bayern Munich since joining from Manchester City in 2011.
