Jamie Redknapp backs Jadon Sancho for £100m Manchester United move

Jadon Sancho would be making a "brilliant move" if he leaves Borussia Dortmund for Manchester United, according to ex-Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp.

Jamie Redknapp has backed Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho to complete a £100m move to Manchester United and become one of the top five players in world football.

The England international has a decision to make over his future ahead of the next transfer window as speculation over a move to Old Trafford continues to grow.

Real Madrid and Chelsea have also been tipped to move for Sancho, but United are said to be confident of reaching an agreement with both the player and Dortmund.

Redknapp has talked up the 20-year-old's ability and insists that he would be making a "brilliant move" if he opts for United this summer.

"We are talking about an incredible talent, someone that has taken some really good decisions, went abroad and who took a risk to a certain extent," he told Sky Sports News.

"It paid off, playing amazing football in the Champions League and for his country now. His next move is so important, he has to make sure he gets in the team and plays regularly.

"He is such an amazing talent, one of the best I've seen in a long time. Top five in the world in a few years, he has that much ability.

"If he goes to United, everyone knows the pressure of playing for a big club but he looks like he can handle the pressure and it would be a brilliant move if he goes there. In the Premier League, he is the one player I'd love to see right now."

Sancho has a combined 55 goals and assists in the past two Bundesliga campaigns.
