Agent: Nicolas Gaitan wants to play for Manchester United

The agent of Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan has admitted that his client would be interested in a move to Manchester United.

Gaitan has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford for a number of months and the player's representative claims that the 24-year-old is ready to begin negotiations.

Jose Ibarren said: "Nicolas likes Manchester United a lot - he would like to play for Manchester United.

"If there is an offer for him Nicolas would be happy to listen and negotiate."

Gaitan has made 43 appearances for Benfica this season.
