Manchester United's Darren Fletcher 'worried' by Wayne Rooney speculation

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has admitted that he is worried over reports that Wayne Rooney is ready to leave the club.

The Premier League champions confirmed on Monday that they have rejected a second offer from Chelsea for the striker believed to be worth around £30m.

"You do worry he'll leave because he's a fantastic football player, but you leave that to Wayne and the club," Fletcher told Sky Sports News. "I hope he stays and achieves more things with Manchester United."

Rooney has been left out of the United squad for their pre-season trip to Sweden with a shoulder injury.
