Borussia Dortmund confirm that Jadon Sancho is set to complete his move to Manchester United after the two clubs agreed on a £73m fee.

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Manchester United for the sale of Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils have been long-time admirers of the England international and now appear to have finally got their man for a fee of €85m (£73.2m).

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said in a statement: "There's an agreement with Manchester United for Sancho. It was Jadon's express wish to change, we would have liked to keep him. We are not happy about the money but sad that he's leaving".

The switch will make Sancho the second most expensive English player of all time, behind his international and soon-to-be club teammate Harry Maguire.

The 21-year-old was part of Manchester City's academy before joining Dortmund in 2017, and the Premier League champions will be due a cut of the transfer fee.

Sancho has shot to stardom during his time in Germany, playing 137 games for Dortmund and scoring 50 goals. He has made one substitute appearance for England so far at the European Championships.
