Spanish starlet Dani Olmo 'knows nothing' about Manchester United interest

Dani Olmo unaware of Man Utd interest

Spain youth international Dani Olmo has played down rumours claiming that Manchester United want to sign him this summer.

The 21-year-old, who plays for Dinamo Zagreb, impressed during a triumphant Euro Under-21 Championship with Spain, winning the 'man of the match' award in the final against Germany.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having signed winger Daniel James and right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka so far this summer, wants to bring a younger crop of players to United.

Olmo, however, was unmoved by the rumours, insisting it was a matter for his manager and his father.

"Honestly, I know absolutely nothing about it," he told Croatian outlet T-Portal. "It's for my manager Andy Bara and my dad."

When asked what he was looking for at his next club, the youngster added: "Very simple – (I want) a club where I will play. Because I am still young and for me it is most important that I have minutes."

United are also chasing a central midfielder and defender before the window shuts, with Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire reportedly their top two targets.
