Midfielder Philippe Coutinho reportedly tells Barcelona that he would like to leave Camp Nou this summer.

Philippe Coutinho has reportedly told Barcelona that he would prefer to leave the club this summer.

Coutinho has spent the last 17 months at Camp Nou, with 21 goals coming from 76 appearances in all competitions, but the playmaker has been strongly linked with a move away from the Catalan giants.

The Brazilian had allegedly been keen to fight for his place at the La Liga champions, but Cadena SER claims that the ex-Liverpool man now wants to find a new club.

There is every suggestion that Barcelona will entertain a sale due to funds potentially being required to push through deals for a new centre-back and forward.

Manchester United have been credited with an interest in Coutinho, although it remains unclear whether the 26-year-old would want to play for one of the rivals of his former club.
