Januzaj's contract is up at the end of the season, and City are trying to engineer an audacious move for the Belgian against their rivals' wishes, according to The People.

United do not want to lose the 18-year-old midfielder, but it is believed that the Red Devils are currently involved in a contract wrangle with the player's advisors and City are monitoring the situation closely.

Januzaj made his first Premier League appearance of the season in Saturday's 2-0 win against Crystal Palace.
