Antonio Valencia backs Pervis Estupinan for Man United move

Former Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia 'hopes' that the Red Devils will bring Watford defender Pervis Estupinan to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been with the Hornets since 2016 but is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Premier League club and is currently on loan at Osasuna.

Estupinan has been in impressive form in La Liga during the 2019-20 campaign, contributing one goal and four assists in 26 appearances from the left-back position.

United are allegedly closely monitoring the defender's performances ahead of a potential summer move, and Valencia has backed his former side's pursuit of his fellow Ecuadorian.

"From here, I send all the positive energies to Estupinan. Hopefully, it will happen," El Telegrafo quotes Valencia as saying when asked about the rumour on social media.

Estupinan has also allegedly attracted the attention of Atletico Madrid.
