Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Man United injury, suspension list vs. Tottenham

Manchester United will endeavour to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 11 matches when they travel to the capital to take on Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday's top-flight battle.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's second-placed team are not mathematically out of the title race, but they sit a whopping 14 points behind arch rivals and runaway leaders Manchester City with eight games left to play.

The Red Devils do head into this crunch match off the back of a successful result in Europe, though, as goals from Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes propelled them to a comfortable 2-0 win over Granada in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their trip to Tottenham.

Luke Shaw

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Other Possible return date: April 11 (vs. Tottenham)

Luke Shaw was hauled off at half time in the midweek win over Granada, but Solskjaer affirmed that he simply had to "protect" the player and his substitution was a precautionary measure, so he should be fine for this game.

Anthony Martial

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Anthony Martial suffered a severe knee sprain while representing France in World Cup Qualifying against Kazakhstan, and Solskjaer has admitted that his chances of playing again this season are slim.

Eric Bailly

Status: Out Type of injury: Coronavirus Possible return date: Unknown

Wantaway defender Eric Bailly returned a positive coronavirus test while on duty with the Ivory Coast, and United will make do without the centre-back for a little while longer.

Phil Jones

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Phil Jones is yet to pull on the red jersey this season due to his ongoing knee problem, and the defender may not be ready for action until the start of the 2021-22 campaign.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no players suspended for this match.
