Newcastle United take on Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, with the hosts looking to take another step towards surviving relegation.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will be looking to remain in the top half of the table ahead of their Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal on Thursday.

Bitter rivals Manchester United and Liverpool will renew hostilities on Sunday when English football's two most successful clubs face off at Old Trafford.

The hosts would effectively secure a top-four spot next season with victory over their greatest enemies, while Liverpool have a lot more work to do to clinch Champions League football themselves.

In the league history of this fixture, a goalless draw is the most common result, with the reverse being the 20th time both sides have failed to score in this famous contest.

Given Man United's track record of 0-0 stalemates this season, and Liverpool's ongoing troubles in front of goal, it is tempting to predict another one for Sunday's match.

However, while we do expect the spoils to be shared come the final whistle, we are hoping for a more entertaining showdown than the one we saw at Anfield in January.

Liverpool need a win, while Man United come into the match full of confidence and within touching distance of securing their number one target for the season, and that should make for an intriguing contest.

Spurs vs. Sheff Utd (Sunday, 7.15pm)

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to put their League Cup final heartache behind them and concentrate on qualifying for the top four when they host basement club Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Spurs have won four of their last five league matches on home soil, while the Blades have claimed just four points from a possible 48 available on the road this campaign, the fewest in the division.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Sheffield United


Tottenham need to respond after their League Cup final heartache and deliver a strong performance this weekend to help boost their chances of qualifying for the top four.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United's only real target for the remainder of this season is to avoid being relegated with a Premier League record number of defeats; the Blades have lost 26 times this campaign, three behind the current record.

The hosts will be the strong favourites for Sunday's clash, and we expect them to dispatch the Blades, sealing a comfortable victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
