Wolves lineup vs. Man United: Predicted XI for Boxing Day Premier League clash

Will Ait-Nouri return after suspension? Wolves predicted lineup vs. Man United

New Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Vitor Pereira will be reluctant to make many changes from the team that thrashed Leicester City when they welcome Manchester United to Molineux on Boxing Day.

Pereira stuck with the three-at-the-back system that he had been using at Al-Shabab, despite it not working so well under the outgoing Gary O'Neil, but a 3-0 win at the King Power suggests the Portuguese boss could have a big impact.

If there are any changes, the only likely alteration will be Rayan Ait-Nouri returning from suspension and retaking his place at left wing-back.

After scoring one of Wolves' three first-half goals on Sunday though, Ait-Nouri's replacement Rodrigo Gomes may keep his place, switching over to the right flank, meaning Matt Doherty could be one the to miss out.

Matheus Cunha is still yet to receive any potential punishment from the FA for his altercation with an Ipswich Town staff member, so he is free to play, as he did against Leicester, where he scored his ninth league goal of the season.

Goalkeeper Jose Sa returned after a shoulder injury in that one, taking the place of Sam Johnstone, despite not showing the best form of late, while compatriot Goncalo Guedes took his chance in the side with two hands, registering a goal and an assist, meaning he now has six goal involvements in eight games.

Therefore, Hwang Hee-chan looks set to miss out again, having still not started a game since mid-September, despite being one of Wolves' most important players last season.

On the injury front, Pereira is hopeful Mario Lemina will be fit to return here after missing the win at Leicester, but Pablo Sarabia and Boubacar Traore are still a few weeks away from a comeback.

Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup: Jose Sa; Nelson Semedo, Bueno, Toti; R Gomes, J Gomes, Andre, Ait-Nouri; Guedes, Strand Larsen, Cunha
