Man United lineup vs. Bournemouth: Predicted XI for Premier League clash as Ruben Amorim suffers new blow

Surprise attacking starter: Predicted Man United XI vs. Bournemouth

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has confirmed that he will be without Diogo Dalot for Sunday's Premier League scrap with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The Portuguese defender has suffered a calf injury which will also keep him out of the Europa League semi-finals with Athletic Bilbao, and potentially for the remainder of the season.

Dalot is being kept company in the medical bay by Joshua Zirkzee (thigh), Lisandro Martinez (ACL), Toby Collyer (leg), Matthijs de Ligt (ankle), Ayden Heaven (ankle) and Amad Diallo (ankle), although the latter could return to full team training next week.

Dalot was only a substitute in the 1-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend anyway, and his absence should see Amorim persist with the youthful pair of Harry Amass and Patrick Dorgu out wide.

Amass and Tyler Fredricson have both burst onto the scene of late - the latter shone against Wolves - but a refreshed Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro should now be primed to return to the backline.

Victor Lindelof is also likely to drop out in that instance, as Yoro, Maguire and Noussair Mazraoui shield Andre Onana, while returning skipper Bruno Fernandes will almost certainly displace Christian Eriksen in the middle of the park.

A lack of viable alternatives up front means that Rasmus Hojlund's place is safe, but Mason Mount is in with a reasonable chance of making just a fifth Premier League start of the season, potentially in Kobbie Mainoo's place.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro; Dorgu, Ugarte, Fernandes, Amass; Mount, Garnacho; Hojlund
