How Manchester United could line up against Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United will welcome former manager Jose Mourinho back to Old Trafford on Sunday when Tottenham Hotspur visit in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have won three games in a row across all competitions but are still yet to pick up a victory at home this season, having been beaten by Crystal Palace in their opener.

Last weekend's triumph over Brighton & Hove Albion was far from plain-sailing either, and they will know that improvement will likely be needed if they are to go into the international break with another win to their name.

Both are expected to recover in time for this match, although Fernandes is considered the slightly bigger doubt - something which would be a big blow for United considering he has directly contributed to 17 goals from his 16 Premier League games so far. The duo are likely to be two of a number of regular first-teamers who return to the side after Solskjaer made changes for the EFL Cup in midweek. Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba came off the bench in that match, the latter marking his cameo with a goal, but will start for the visit of Spurs along with the likes of Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood, who will be keen to respond to his England omission. Donny van de Beek may once again be forced to wait for his first Premier League start if Fernandes is fit as expected, with Nemanja Matic looking the most likely candidate to sit alongside Pogba in midfield.
