Ashley Young: 'Manchester United still in race for title'

Manchester United winger Ashley Young says that his side are still in with a shout of claiming the Premier League title this season.

Manchester United winger Ashley Young has said that his side are still in with a shout of claiming the Premier League title this season.

Young has been in impressive form having returned to the side of late, with the Englishman helping United notch four straight wins over the Christmas period.

"If you were to ask anybody around the club, no-one would have ever said we were out of the title race," said Young, according to the Manchester Evening News.

"We have to just keep winning games. Our momentum is building now and we have to keep playing as we have done to take those chances which will see us back up the table.

"We have another tough game coming up on New Year's Day against Tottenham, but, hopefully, if we can continue to play the way we have been doing, then we can get another three points."

United currently sit in sixth spot in the Premier League table.
