Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is believed to be closing in on a return to action this weekend.
The Serbian, who has been sidelined for almost eight months with a knee ligament injury, is thought to be prepared to return to the field for the Red Devils in a pre-season friendly against Valerenga on Sunday.
The former Premier League champions have included the centre-back in the squad to face the Norwegian side as well as Barcelona and Hannover.
Vidic was previously ruled out of United's pre-season tour.
