Robin van Persie and Rafael Benitez win the Premier League monthly awards for April.

Manchester United forward Robin van Persie and Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez have won the Premier League monthly awards for April.

Van Persie scored a hat-trick against Aston Villa to fire his side to the Premier League title.

The Dutch international also scored goals against Stoke City and Arsenal to win the award ahead of Chelsea duo David Luiz and Juan Mata.

However, Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez was rewarded for a four-match unbeaten run during April with the manager of the month accolade.

Benitez witnessed Chelsea defeat Sunderland, Fulham and Swansea City, while only being denied a fourth win by a last-minute equaliser against Liverpool.
