Louis van Gaal: 'Manchester United is my last job'

Van Gaal to retire after leaving Man Utd

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has claimed that he will retire from football when his spell at Old Trafford ends to spend more time with his family.

The 63-year-old, contracted to the Red Devils until 2017, has managed some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Barcelona and Bayern Munich, in his career.

He told the Daily Telegraph: "I am old. This is my last job. For sure. I have to pay attention to my kids, my grandchildren but also to my wife. They deserve it.

"Now I cannot pay that attention. I was not at the birthday of my grandson, for example. I don't like it."

Man Utd are currently fourth in the Premier League table.
