Louis van Gaal happy with Radamel Falcao after goal at Aston Villa

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal praises striker Radamel Falcao after the Colombian scored his second Red Devils goals in the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that he was impressed by the performance of striker Radamel Falcao in the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa.

The Colombian loanee scored just his second United goal on Saturday as he attempts to prove his fitness and earn a permanent switch to Old Trafford.

Van Gaal told reporters: "It was a beautiful goal, I liked him today. I am very happy for him and I always happy when Manchester United score.

"I have to compare players every week, there's always a question for every player, not only for Falcao."

Falcao, who made his first start since early October at Villa Park, has recently stated that he would love to stay at the club when his loan from Monaco expires in the summer.
