Manchester United target Yohan Cabaye?

Manchester United are reportedly planning a £20m bid for Yohan Cabaye this summer.

The Newcastle United midfielder has impressed in the Premier League since joining from Lille in 2011.

According to The Mirror, United see him as a replacement for Paul Scholes, who is likely to retire at the end of the season.

Sir Alex Ferguson's chief scout and brother Martin was at Newcastle's game against Benfica to watch the Frenchman in action.

The report suggests that United were also looking at Benfica pair Ezequiel Garay and Nicolas Gaitan.
