Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'set for make-or-break Manchester United interview'

A report claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is to meet with high-ranking Manchester United officials to discuss taking on the managerial job on a full-time basis.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly meet with Manchester United officials in the coming days to put forward his case to land the managerial job on a permanent basis.

The club legend has rejuvenated the Red Devils since succeeding Jose Mourinho in a caretaker capacity in December by winning six games out of six.

United's most recent victory came against Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, apparently lifting Solskjaer above the Argentine as the Red Devils' top choice to lead the club forward for the long term.

According to The Sun, the 45-year-old's future will soon become clearer as a meeting has been arranged with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and director Matt Judge, where he will be asked to lay out his vision for the next few years.

To get the job full-time, the report claims that Solskjaer will need to explain his transfer strategy in detail, while also keeping United on course for silverware on the pitch.

Next up for the Norwegian, who has been taking tips off legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson, is a home match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
