Chelsea attacker Andre Schurrle has moved to clarify recent comments that had been attributed to him regarding Wayne Rooney.
Ahead of England's match against Schurrle's Germany on Tuesday night, the 23-year-old had doubted if Rooney would be able to hold down a place in his nation's starting lineup.
However, Schurrle has taken to Twitter this afternoon to insist that the Manchester United striker "is a great player".
