Louis Saha expects Manchester United response

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha is confident that the team will recover quickly from their poor start to the season.

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has backed the team to recover from their indifferent start to the season.

Sunday's 1-0 defeat to local rivals Manchester City saw the Red Devils slip down to 10th place in the Premier League table, 13 points behind leaders Chelsea.

However, Saha is confident that there is enough quality at Old Trafford to help Louis van Gaal's side make a big impact during the remainder of the campaign.

"If you don't have consistency you play well one weekend and the next two weeks you are not playing well. It doesn't work like that," the Frenchman told Goal.com.

"A big team like Manchester United has always worked with [consistency]. That is a basic for a big club, but Manchester United have the funds, the fan base and the quality inside the club and it is a matter of time before they are back."

United can get back to winning ways on Saturday when they entertain Crystal Palace in the league.
