Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has reportedly held talks with Cristiano Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes to discuss a possible transfer for the 37-year-old.

New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has reportedly discussed a potential move with Cristiano Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes.

The Blues recently announced that Boehly would be taking over as interim sporting director, with Marina Granovskaia set to leave the role at the end of the transfer window.

Boehly has already been proactive in his interim role, with The Athletic reporting that the Chelsea owner recently held a meeting with Ronaldo's agent.

Although Ronaldo has a year left to run on his current Manchester United contract, Boehly and Mendes reportedly discussed a potential move for the 37-year-old.

Chelsea are exploring forward options, with Romelu Lukaku expected to return Inter Milan on a loan deal after leaving the Serie A club last summer.

There is uncertainty about whether Chelsea would be interested in a deal for Ronaldo, while there would be doubt about whether the Portugal international would move to another Premier Legaue club given his affection for Man United.

The report also indicates that Mendes has spoken to Bayern Munich about a possible transfer for Ronaldo.
