Rangnick: 'Nobody can be happy with draw against Burnley'

Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick showed his frustration after his side gave up a lead to draw 1-1 with Burnley in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils dominated the first 45 minutes at Turf Moor and took the lead through Paul Pogba but saw two more efforts chalked off for offside and a foul respectively.

Rangnick has said that "nobody can be happy" with the draw, which saw the Red Devils drop down to fifth position in the Premier League table ahead of their next game against Southampton.

"[There were] not that many things that we could have done better in the first half," Rangnick told MUTV. "We scored three goals, two of them disallowed.

"Especially the second one, nobody can really understand it was disallowed, and why the linesman flagged a foul from Paul Pogba eight seconds after the foul, if there was a foul committed. Anyway, we should have been at least 2-0 up at half-time.

"But we said the same after the Middlesbrough game. We were doing extremely well on the ball and controlled the game but in the end it's about winning the game.

"Today with only one point after those 94 minutes, nobody can be happy. And above all, if you want to be fourth in the league, we should not lose points like the ones tonight."

Man United have won 11, drawn six and lost six of their 23 Premier League matches this season to collect 39 points, and they are one point behind fourth-placed West Ham with a game in hand on the Hammers.
