David Moyes: 'We needed more goals'

Manchester United manager David Moyes believes that his team should have scored more goals during their 2-0 win over 10-man Crystal Palace this afternoon.

David Moyes has said that Manchester United needed to score more goals during their win over Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The reigning Premier League champions had 19 shots during the match, but scored just twice against the 10 men of Palace.

After the match, the manager told BT Sport: "I thought we played well but I thought we needed to score a few more goals with the build up play we managed.

"[Wayne Rooney] tired a bit in the second half but I thought he was great in everything that he did. I wanted him to get 90 minutes under his belt which is important with the busy week we have coming up."

The result put United up to second in the table ahead of the 3pm kickoffs.
