Jose Mourinho claims that Manchester United have not improved under the leadership of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Jose Mourinho has claimed that Manchester United have not made any steps forward under the leadership of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Red Devils suffered a 2-0 defeat at West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, with Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell scoring in either half for the Hammers.

After the clash at the London Stadium, Mourinho said that United had not improved since he left the club despite signing Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire during the summer.

"We were bad last season, but I don't see any improvements this season. I like the three [signings], they bring some good quality to the team. The team as a team, I don't like at all. I'm not surprised by the result," Mourinho told Sky Sports News.

Solskjaer replaced Mourinho as head coach of the 20-time English champions last December, with the Norwegian initially taking the job on a caretaker basis before being appointed full-time boss earlier this year.

The former United striker has won 19, drawn six and lost 11 of his 36 matches in charge of the Red Devils in all competitions.
