Manchester United's Marcos Rojo: 'We need more goals'

Marcos Rojo claims that Manchester United must find a clinical edge in attacking areas ahead of Saturday's meeting with Crystal Palace.

Marcos Rojo has admitted that Manchester United need to improve in front of goal as they prepare to face Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Louis van Gaal's side played out a goalless draw against Manchester City last weekend, before failing to make a breakthrough in the League Cup fourth-round tie with Middlesbrough, who eventually clinched the win on penalties.

United legend Paul Scholes claimed that the current side lack creativity in attacking areas, and Rojo has suggested that they do need to be more clinical.

"The best chances [against Middlesbrough] fell to us, but we couldn't manage to convert any of them," Rojo told MUTV. "So then it went to penalties, which are always a lottery, and unfortunately it wasn't to be for us this time.

"So coming off the back of two games on the trot without being on the mark does hurt and frustrate you a bit, but we are doing a good job at the back and defending well.

"We just need to turn the chances that we're creating into goals."

United have scored four goals in their last five games in all competitions.
