Roberto Mancini insists that his Manchester City side can still overhaul Manchester United to win the Premier League title this season.

Roberto Mancini has insisted that his Manchester City side are still capable of winning the Premier League title this season.

Victory for City's rivals Manchester United over Blackburn Rovers on Monday night will see the Red Devils open up a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Despite his side only have seven matches remaining, Mancini believes that there is plenty of time for his side to overhaul United.

"They can do a draw on Monday, why not?," the Italian told BBC Sport. "Are we still in the title race? I think so because eight games is enough to do two draws.

"It's normal. Until we have a point to win this league we will try until the end. I'm sure that we will do better [against Arsenal next week] than today."

City produced a late fightback to claim a 3-3 draw against Sunderland earlier today.
