Roberto Mancini concedes that if Manchester City fall 8 points adrift in the title race then Manchester United will win the Premier League.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has claimed that the title race will be over should his side fall eight points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United.

If United beat Blackburn Rovers on Monday evening and win at home to Queens Park Rangers next Sunday, Sir Alex Ferguson's side will extend their lead to eight points before City play again.

Mancini said: "If we go eight points behind then it is finished."

The Italian also admits that Saturday's 3-3 draw with Sunderland was a disappointing moment in the season.

"It's clear we are disappointed. We have made some mistakes, me and the team," added Mancini.

Manchester City have only picked up five points from the past 12 available to them.
