Roberto Mancini: 'Second place is not bad'

Roberto Mancini admits that finishing in second place is "not bad".

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said that finishing in second place in the Premier League is "not bad".

The Citizens, who led the league for much of the current campaign, have dropped points in back-to-back games ahead of this afternoon's trip to Arsenal and are now five points adrift of first place. However, Mancini insists that his side's achievements should be considered no less impressive.

"We must finish our job to build a strong team," he told The Mirror. "We need time, but we are becoming one of the top in Europe.

"In the end, second is not a bad place, but I want to win this title. I don't think it is finished.

"United have done well in the last two months, but there are seven games to the end and football can change in a week."

Mancini's side defeated Arsenal 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
