Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that he is less than impressed with the Premier League fixture pile-up this month.
Van Gaal will experience England's hectic festive period for the first time since taking the United job in the summer.
With the Red Devils scheduled to play seven matches between now and January 1, the 63-year-old Dutchman admits that he is in for quite a culture shock.
"I am not happy - but I cannot change it - because I don't think it is good for the players that they play within two days of a [previous] match - two matches in two days," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"In December it shall be like that. We also have family. I have a wife and kids, and grandchildren, and I cannot see them this Christmas.
"But I want to work in the Premier League, so I have to adapt, and I shall adapt. But I don't think it is good. It is not good for the players, nor for the family."
First up for United - who sit fourth in the Premier League table - is the visit of Stoke City to Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
