Sir Alex Ferguson confirms that new signings Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell will take part in all of Manchester United's pre-season tour.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that his two new signings will be present for the entirety of the club's pre-season tour.

Doubts had been raised as the whether the attacking midfielder duo of Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell would take part in the whole trip.

However, Ferguson has revealed that the pair, along with some established team members, will fly out with the squad next month from the start.

"We are all looking forward to the pre-season tour," Ferguson told the club's official website. "It's obviously very difficult in a year when we have had a Euro tournament and we also have the Olympics this year.

"The final tour squad hasn't been decided yet but we will be taking the strongest team we have available.

"I am delighted our new newest signings, Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell, will be in the travelling squad, along with more established players such as Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Ji Sung-Park."

United's tour will see them travel to South Africa, China, Norway and Sweden.
