Shinji Kagawa close to Manchester United training return

Sir Alex Ferguson reveals that Shinji Kagawa will return to Manchester United training next week as he continues to recover from the knee injury that has kept him sidelined for two months.

Shinji Kagawa is nearing his Manchester United comeback after missing two months of action due to a knee problem.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that the Japanese international will recommence training with the first-team squad next Monday.

Kagawa made eight United appearances at the start of the season before suffering the injury in the 3-2 Champions League victory over Braga.

The 23-year-old arrived at Old Trafford from German champions Borussia Dortmund for a £12m fee in the summer.
