Paul Ince: 'Paul Pogba better suited to Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City'

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince says that Paul Pogba would be "a better player" if he represented either Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has claimed that Paul Pogba would be "a better player" if he represented either Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur.

Pogba's form for United has been called into question in recent weeks, with Jose Mourinho dropping the Frenchman following a couple of disappointing performances in the Premier League.

Ince, however, has blamed United's style of play for the midfielder's struggles, and insisted that the France international would thrive in a better system.

"Pogba has been made a scapegoat for the way the team are performing, when he's the one being played out of position. But he isn't the only problem," Ince told Paddy Power.

"If you put the Frenchman into Manchester City's team, or even Tottenham's team, you'll see a better player.
"I don't believe that the way Mourinho has United playing is suited to him. Alexis Sanchez looks as though he's trying to do everything at once, there's no connection between the players.

"When you look at Spurs, there are players who work together so well, like [Harry] Kane, [Christian] Eriksen, [Mousa] Dembele and Son [Heung-min]. They link up together – but it all feels disjointed in the Manchester United attack. They don't know how to play with each other."

Pogba has scored three times and registered 10 assists in 25 appearances for United this season.
