Javier Hernandez believes that Manchester United need to beat Liverpool if they are to keep the pressure on Manchester City.

Manchester United's Javier Hernandez has said that beating Liverpool will be vital if the club are to win a record 20th league title.

The striker grabbed a late equaliser in the 3-3 draw against Chelsea on Sunday, in which the Red Devils came back from a 3-0 deficit.

The 23-year-old believes that his side need to beat Kenny Dalglish's men to keep the pressure on league leaders Manchester City.

"To beat Liverpool, it doesn't matter in which position of the table you are - you need to win that type of game," Chicharito told DHL.

"It's a lot of motivation to know we can change number 19 to 20.

"We want to play very well, to win that three points and to keep fighting to the title."

Hernandez moved to Old Trafford in 2010 from Mexican side Guadalajara.
