Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand expresses his frustration on Twitter, resulting in rumours that he will miss tonight's trip to Everton.

Rio Ferdinand has hinted that he has failed to regain his fitness in time for Manchester United's Premier League opener away at Everton tonight.

Reports had claimed that the defender had suffered a leg injury during training last week, although the Red Devils have opted not to comment on the situation.

However, the 33-year-old revealed his frustration on Twitter earlier today, prompting speculation that he will be forced to sit out the trip to Goodison Park.

"P***ed off doesn't get close to how I feel at the moment. Sake," he wrote on the social networking site.

With Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans already ruled out with injuries, centre-midfielder Michael Carrick has been tipped to fill in for Ferdinand should his absence be confirmed.
