Rio Ferdinand defends claims made in new autobiography

Queens Park Rangers defender Rio Ferdinand has insisted that he is not "shifting blame" in his new autobiography following a number of controversial extracts.

The former Manchester United centre-back's book #2 sides, which is being serialised by The Sun, details the 35-year-old's thoughts on the race row involving himself, his brother Anton and Chelsea legends John Terry and Ashley Cole.

Ferdinand also slams the "embarrassing" tactics of former United manager David Moyes, who was sacked by the club in April after spending less than one season as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor.

Today, Ferdinand wrote on Twitter: "Serialisation doesn't give u the whole story ! Shifting blame isn't in me,I take responsibility,you'll see when you read the book! #2sides."

Ferdinand left United in the summer following a 12-year spell at Old Trafford.
