Rio Ferdinand admits Manchester United frustration

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand admits that he has been frustrated and disappointed by the team's performances this season.

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has admitted that he has been frustrated and disappointed by the team's performances this season.

The Red Devils have endured a torrid first season in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, with David Moyes only able to lead his side to seventh in the Premier League table.

Reports surfaced earlier today suggesting that Moyes was on the verge of being sacked after Everton handed them their 11th defeat of the season yesterday, a match that Ferdinand was not named in the squad for.

"Frustration & disappointment sums up the season so far," Ferdinand wrote on Twitter.

Ferdinand has previously expressed his desire to stay at Old Trafford despite reports that Moyes does not plan to extend his contract beyond the end of the current campaign.
