Jonny Evans expects Demba Ba, Papiss Cisse test

Jonny Evans admits that he will be wary of Newcastle United's Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse on Boxing Day.

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has admitted that he is prepared for a tough match when Newcastle United visit Old Trafford on Boxing Day.

Having faced the Magpies earlier in the season, 24-year-old centre-back Evans has conceded that he is likely to be tested to the maximum by Senegalese strike duo Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse.

"They are both very powerful," Evans told the club's official website. "What Newcastle do very well is work the ball wide and put it in the box. They don't give you a minute and those two are powerful lads.

"A lot of their goals come that way, when they beat people in the air and the ball is floating around in the box. The goal record between them is what got Newcastle to the position they finished in last year."

Ba and Cisse have scored 13 goals between them in the Premier League this season.
