Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has urged his teammates to score more goals as they attempt to put the title out of Manchester City's reach.

The Red Devils are currently four points clear of their local rivals at the top of the Premier League.

However, their goal difference is still three worse than City's and Evans has said that it would be devastating to lose out because of that.

"The goal difference is a massive consideration," the Northern Irishman told Sky Sports News. "If you look ahead to the end of the season, the last thing you want to do is lose the league on goal difference.

"It is almost like another point at times and it would be a horrible way to lose the league if that was the case, so it is up to us to rectify it."

The Citizens could cut the gap to just one point should they beat Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow night.
