Argentina legend Diego Maradona reveals that he wants to manage Manchester United.

Argentina legend Diego Maradona has revealed that he wants to manage Manchester United.

Maradona is currently in charge of Mexican second division outfit Dorados de Sinaloa, having left his role as chairman of Dynamo Brest in 2018.

The 58-year-old was also the head coach of the Argentina national team between 2008 and 2010.

The South American is now eyeing a move to the Premier League, though, and has insisted that he could help United, who only appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as full-time boss in March, return to former glories.

"If Manchester [United] need a coach, I'm the man to do it. I know they sell lots of shirts around the world, but they need to win trophies, too. I can do that for them," Maradona told FourFourTwo.

Maradona played in four World Cups during a glittering career, captaining his country to glory at the 1986 competition.

The former forward also won two Serie A titles during his time with Napoli, in addition to the Copa del Rey while representing Barcelona.

United finished sixth in the Premier League table last season and are expected to invest heavily this summer with a number of players being targeted.
