Tom Cleverley to have scan today to assess calf injury

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that midfielder Tom Cleverley will undergo a scan today on a calf injury.

The 23-year-old picked up the problem during United's 1-0 defeat to Cluj in the Champions League on Wednesday.

"Tom Cleverley is having a scan today," said Ferguson. "It is a calf. We shall see."

The midfielder is a doubt for this weekend's highly-anticipated derby against Manchester City.
