Alexander Buttner makes first United appearance in reserves

New signing Alexander Buttner made his first appearance in a Manchester United shirt in a strong reserve team against Tottenham Hotspur this evening.

Buttner played the full 90 minutes at Moss Lane alongside Jonny Evans, who also completed a full match as he steps up his return from an ankle injury.

Darren Fletcher also continued his rehabilitation from a long-term illness with a full game in the centre of midfield.

Nick Powell and Anders Lindegaard were other notable starters as United ran out 2-1 winners at Moss Lane through a Federico Macheda brace.
