Daley Blind has welcomed the prospect of Manchester United re-signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, believing that the Swede can still do a great job for the club.

The 35-year-old scored 28 goals for the Red Devils last term but saw his season come to an end in April following a serious knee injury against Anderlecht.

Although Ibrahimovic is no longer on the club's books after his one-year deal expired, he is recuperating at their Carrington training ground following surgery.

Jose Mourinho has also confirmed that talks between himself, Ibrahimovic and the club's hierarchy will take place around Christmas time, and Blind is keen to see the Swede back in United red.

When asked about an Ibrahimovic return, Blind told NBC Sports: "No doubt he would again be another big signing and last year he gave a big boost for the team. He is still a great player and great person and he makes everything better."

Ibrahimovic has also been linked with a move to Los Angeles Galaxy in the United States.
