Bill Foulkes passes away

Former Manchester United centre-back Bill Foulkes has died at the age of 81.

Foulkes, who made his debut for the club in 1952 and survived the Munich air disaster six years later, was part of the side that won the European Cup at the expense of Benfica at Wembley in 1968.

Only three players, Ryan Giggs, Sir Bobby Charlton and Paul Scholes, have featured on more occasions for United than Foulkes, who turned out for the Red Devils 688 times.
