Adnan Januzaj grateful for playing time

Man United youngster Adnan Januzaj says that he is happy to have started the 3-1 win over Leicester as he bids for increased minutes under Louis van Gaal.

Adnan Januzaj has admitted that he is delighted to have played his way back into contention under Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

The young Belgian was handed his sixth start of the season - and his first in the Premier League since November - in Saturday's 3-1 win at home to Leicester City.

"I haven't played too much, so it was good to get 90 minutes," he told MUTV.

"I was tired and had cramp in the last 15 minutes, but I knew I had a job to do.

"We played well, especially in the first half. We fought for each other. The second half wasn't as good, but we're happy with the result."

Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao helped the Red Devils into a 2-0 lead at Old Trafford before an own goal from Wes Morgan on the stroke of half time all but sealed the hosts the points.

Marcin Wasilewski reduced the arrears with 10 minutes left, but it proved little more than a consolation as United moved above Southampton into third in the table.
