David Moyes pleased with Manchester United victory

Manchester United manager David Moyes was pleased to see his side beat Liverpool in tonight's Capital One Cup tie.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has said that he is pleased with his side's 1-0 win over Liverpool in the League Cup tonight.

Moyes's team recovered from their heavy defeat against Manchester City at the weekend to progress to the next round of the cup, thanks to a goal from Javier Hernandez.

"We had to try and come out and show something a bit better than we had done [against Liverpool and City]. We had to bounce back and I thought it was a good result tonight," BBC Sport quotes Moyes as saying.

"It's given me a chance to see some players I haven't seen much and it's given me food for thought."

Manchester United have been drawn against Norwich City in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup.
