Man United injury news: Red Devils ace is stretchered off against Leicester with serious-looking injury

Major concern: Man United ace suffers serious-looking injury against Leicester

Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven has suffered a potentially serious injury during Sunday's Premier League clash with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Heaven was a standout performer for Man United in the first half of the fixture, having been rewarded with another start after his impressive display against Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday night.

However, early in the second period, Heaven had to be stretchered off the field after a tangle of legs with Leicester's Patson Daka; the forward was attempting to meet a cross from Jamie Vardy, but the centre-back was first on the scene.

The incident led to Heaven immediately signalling to the bench, and it was clear that a serious issue had been suffered.

The stretcher ultimately took Heaven down the tunnel, with Toby Collyer his replacement, and Man United will now assess the seriousness of the damage before releasing a statement on the 18-year-old, who has been impressive since arriving from Arsenal in January.

The 20-time English champions currently lead 1-0 against Leicester courtesy of a first-half effort from Rasmus Hojlund, with the Denmark international ending his long goalscoring drought.
