Manchester United defender Eric Bailly will miss the next six to eight weeks after aggravating a groin injury, according to a report.

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has reportedly suffered a setback in his recovery from a groin injury.

The 23-year-old has not played in any of the Red Devils' last six matches since the international break, his last appearance coming against Chelsea on November 5.

Bailly is not expected to take part in Sunday's derby against Manchester City but, according to The Sun, could be set to miss the busy festive period.

The report claims that the Ivorian has aggravated his injury and will be ruled out for a further six to eight weeks.

Bailly has made just 10 appearances for United this season.
